At Ashford Castle, we believe deeply that our legacy is as important as the joyful experiences we offer to guests.

We are proud to have implemented and adhere to strict sustainability measures. We were the first hotel in Ireland to achieve the GREENMark Plastic Smart Standard Award in 2019 for our efforts towards responsible tourism and our commitment to remove all single-use plastics from the Estate by 2022.

In 2008, we began our sustainability journey by joining Green Hospitality Ireland, and still retain our Gold standard. Today, we are honoured to announce we have installed Tesla electric chargers on the Ashford Estate, the perfect way to travel sustainably this summer as you rediscover Ireland.
